We caught up with Brent to hear how life for him and his wife has changed since he graduated from Beyond Finance in November of 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Can you tell us a bit about yourself?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    I live in Santa Fe Springs, near L.A., with my wife. I do medical elections and billing. I\u2019ve been working from home \u2014 I love it. And my wife and I belong to a dance group. We have dances probably every month \u2014 we do ballroom dancing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What was going on before you started working with Beyond Finance?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    I got into debt through credit cards \u2014 spending on stuff that I shouldn\u2019t have bought and that I didn\u2019t need! Well, I was just drowning in debt. I couldn\u2019t get ahead. I was just making the minimum payments. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I just felt a little depressed. It was frustrating. I was like, \u201cShoot \u2014 these balances are not going down. I\u2019m never gonna pay this off.\u201d It just hit me \u2014 something\u2019s not going right here. I have to do something to get myself out of debt..<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What was your experience like with us?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    I looked you guys up \u2014 you had good ratings \u2014 so that\u2019s why I went with you.<\/em> It\u2019s been a while, but I remember that the person on the phone put me at peace. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    We can live freely. We couldn\u2019t go anywhere before. We couldn\u2019t do anything.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    It\u2019s like, \u201cHey, we\u2019ll take care of it. We\u2019ve got a whole process for you.\u201d I got off the phone feeling like they really wanted to help me get out of debt.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    That process was great. When I paid off my first account, I felt relief. It was like, \u201cOh man \u2014 finally I\u2019m getting somewhere.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What’s happened since you graduated?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Oh God, I was able to go on two vacations \u2014<\/em> that\u2019s how much I saved! Last year we went to Hawaii for a week. This year we went to see my wife\u2019s sister in Boise, Idaho.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I\u2019m able to go out to dinner with my wife more now \u2014 like once a week. We can live freely. We couldn\u2019t go anywhere before. We couldn\u2019t do anything. Now we go out to lunch every Sunday. It\u2019s really nice having that freedom.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    I use my credit for some things, but I pay it off right away. Whatever I spend on my credit card, I pay off when the statement comes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I also do a budget every month. I use an app called EveryDollar \u2014 it\u2019s a zero-based budgeting app, where you put every dollar to where it needs to go until it gets down to zero. It keeps me on track!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
