Our holistic support involves psychological understanding, financial therapy, and developing a customized plan that will streamline their payments for 24 to 48 months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One subject that comes up frequently on our client calls and therapy sessions is not understanding how to handle money. It&#8217;s something that should have been taught in school or a topic brought up by our parents, but that&#8217;s usually not the case.  There are elementary tasks like avoiding late payments, understanding an APR, and living within your means are usually in need of reinforcement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, when it comes to retirement lessons and how to prepare for those twilight years, our clients and a majority of Americans have serious concerns. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zippia.com\/advice\/financial-literacy-statistics\/#:~:text=Only%2057%25%20of%20American%20adults,of%20Americans%20are%20financially%20anxious.\">a recent Zippia survey<\/a>, we learn only 57% of U.S. adults believe they are &#8220;financially literate.&#8221; Also, 77% are &#8220;financially anxious.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/09\/08\/56percent-of-americans-say-theyre-not-on-track-to-comfortably-retire.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CNBC survey shows<\/a> 56% of Americans who believe they are &#8220;not on track&#8221; for retirement. Additionally, only 11% report\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/01\/03\/how-to-take-advantage-of-higher-401k-contribution-limits-for-2023.html\">maxing out their 401(k) contributions<\/a>. Regretfully, 46% of that group say they\u2019re contributing as much as they can afford, the &#8220;Your Money&#8221; survey found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That reality led Go Banking Rates creating an expert panel of financial professionals representing the entire industry. The financial therapist selected was Beyond Finance&#8217;s Chief Financial Wellness Advisor, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondfinance.com\/newsroom\/dr-erika-rasure-discusses-financial-practice-week\/\">Dr. Erika Rasure<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She talked about &#8220;<strong>keeping track of your financial progress<\/strong>&#8221; before you retire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Put your savings steps and goals on paper and keep track.
