Developed by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyondfinance.com\/newsroom\/business-insider-explores-financial-therapy-with-dr-erika-rasure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Erika Rasure<\/a><\/strong>, chief financial wellness officer and client therapist for Beyond Finance, the premise is awareness meeting action regarding personal finances and economic responsibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2003, April has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneyfit.org\/financial-literacy-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Financial Literacy Month<\/a>. Yet, in Dr. Rasure&#8217;s opinion, literacy doesn&#8217;t seem to be enough. Beyond Finance commissioned a national study with OnePoll and SWNS to validate that opinion, which was split evenly among various generations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The findings revealed that people who understand basic financial knowledge and good money habits may be worse nationally than many consider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls loop muted src=\"https:\/\/www.beyondfinance.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/Beyond-Healthy-Financial-V1.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the notes regarding America&#8217;s financial practice and literacy, we found a few things the national news is discussing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nearly half (<strong>43%<\/strong>) of respondents don\u2019t know what a 401(k) is.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only <strong>30%<\/strong> believe they could win a game of personal finance trivia, despite <strong>39%<\/strong> considering themselves more financially literate than the average person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Four in 10<\/strong> Americans admit they procrastinate when implementing healthy financial habits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And <strong>39% <\/strong>of respondents reported adverse effects on their relationships due to their or their partner\u2019s unhealthy spending habits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The research is creating many stories across the country.<strong> Here are a few of the most significant. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beyondfinance.com\/newsroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/yahoo-money-logo.png\" alt=\"YAHOO!
