Last week, MSN featured Beyond Finance\u2019s recent survey<\/a> to share why Americans are changing the way they manage their money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond Finance recognized Financial Practice Week April 21-25, with a call to action for Americans to put into practice the financial management tips they learned during April\u2019s Financial Literacy Month. The week started off with a survey of Americans on how they are feeling about their finances in times of economic uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only one in 10 Americans currently feels \u201cvery good\u201d about their financial situation, according to new research. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey of 2,000 Americans asked respondents how they\u2019re feeling about their finances right now \u2014 13% feel \u201cvery good\u201d and 28% feel \u201csomewhat good.\u201d But respondents are trying to be smart about their money: 84% said setting themselves up for financial success in the future is more important than ever in times of economic uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a growing movement around financial self-empowerment,\u201d said Lou Antonelli, Chief Operating Officer of Beyond Finance. \u201cWe\u2019re seeing people move from avoidance to action. It\u2019s not just about fixing your finances \u2014 it\u2019s about feeling capable and in control.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
