The survey also found that 72% of men believe society expects them to handle financial stress silently, and 56% said they have avoided discussing money worries because they felt they should \u201chave it handled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Importantly, the findings also suggest men are redefining what success and \u201cproviding\u201d mean in modern life. Respondents ranked good mental health, strong relationships, purpose, and work-life balance above high income when defining personal success. Many also said being a provider today means being dependable in all areas of family life \u2014 not just financially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>Yahoo News<\/em> coverage reinforces an important message at the heart of Beyond Finance\u2019s research: financial stress is not just a money issue for men \u2014 it is often a mental health issue, too.
