Mission & Philosophy
Stella believes that achieving true financial wellness goes far beyond paying off debt — it requires a holistic shift in how we think about and relate to money. By dismantling the stigma surrounding debt, exploring the emotions tied to financial decision-making, and providing transparent, evidence-based strategies, she empowers people to reclaim their financial narratives and build a foundation for long-term financial health and independence.
Stella holds a Master's in Acting for Stage Screen and Radio from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and a BA in Literature and Theater from The Evergreen State College — a background in human storytelling and emotional communication that informs her approach to financial wellness writing.
Outside of Work
Based in Chicago, Stella enjoys nerding out about investing, saving, and financial independence. When she steps out of "financial mode," she can be found reading, going to the theater, working on her latest creative project, or relaxing at home with her cats, Alfie and Tilly.
